Saltwater Mittens Baccalien Wristers

March 23rd & 30th 2020

Time: March 23rd 6pm-8:30pm & March 30th 6pm-8:30pm

Cost:$65 Includes materials

The mittens featured in the Saltwater Mitten book are both practical and beautiful; featuring bold and graphic traditional colorwork patterns. They're traditionally knit from sturdy wool that stands up well to use in all weather and use the unique Newfoundland "trigger finger" construction for warmth and dexterity.

For knitters who are new to working with two colors these patterns may seem a bit daunting, but the authors carefully walk the knitter through each step of planning and executing their project.

In this class we will tackle not the smallest project from the book, the baby mitts, but will take the next step to the Baccalien pattern wristers.  This class will be perfect for those that are looking to try a pattern, from the popular book, all while having the support and guidance from a knitting instructor that has been knitting color work patterns for years. The Saltwater Mittens book will be for sale at the class and students will receive it at a discounted price if they wish to purchase.

Previous knitting experience is required. Students must be familiar with knitting in the round on double pointed needles.
